We wanted to provide you with advance notice that Orange & Rockland / Rockland Electric Company is updating its Report Outage Text code.
Effective, Thursday, September 5, the new code is: Text OUT to 678797 (ORUPWR).
We will be notifying customers via: email, website, bill message and IVR message.
In addition, there will be a two-week transitional period where the old text code will also work.
Customers can still report outages online at oru.com/ReportOutage, or through the O&R Mobile App. They can also call us at: 1-877-434-4100.
