UPCOMING KINGS HIGHWAY PAVING through Sugar Loaf Week of October 12

Please be advised, King’s Highway through Sugar Loaf is scheduled to be milled and paved the week of October 12 (weather pending). No parking along the shoulders during this week from 5 AM to 7 PM to allow for the continuous operation of the road resurfacing project. We anticipate 2 days of milling (Mon. 10/12 & Tues. 10/13) and 1 day of paving (Thurs. 10/15). The road will be open as all work is anticipated to be completed with daily lane closures and flaggers. Every attempt possible will be made to minimize disruptions to the traveling public and local businesses but there will be traffic delays as a direct result of this construction. However, these delays will be temporary, and we are looking forward to a fully resurfaced roadway.

TENTATIVE schedule:

• Monday, October 12 (Columbus Day) – Mill King’s Highway through Sugar Loaf
• Tuesday, October 13 – Finish Milling Sugar Loaf and move mill to Leone Lane and mill 17M to Leone Lane rebate under NYS 17
• Wednesday, October 14 – Pave CR 82 (Bellvalle Lakes Road)
• Thursday, October 15 – Pave King’s Highway through Sugar Loaf
• Friday, October 16 – Begin Paving CR 13A and finish the following week (10/19)
