Renter Safe Housing Incentive Program (RSHI)

Community Housing Innovations (CHI) is a nonprofit housing and human services organization dedicated to helping individuals and families secure and maintain stable housing. As a HUD approved housing counseling agency with over twenty-five years of experience running its highly regarded homeownership and housing retention programs, CHI is committed to supporting communities in crisis.

As part of our Hurricane Ida recovery efforts, CHI is currently offering financial assistance to renters who resided in Westchester, Dutchess, Nassau, Orange, Rockland, or Suffolk County at the time of the storm and have been impacted by it. Eligible households may receive up to $50,000 in financial assistance.
