The Town of Chester Water Department will be upgrading all homes in the Lake Hill Farms water district from analog to cellular meter readers. This will help improve the accuracy of your water usage, along with having the ability to detect leaks in real-time and the capability of keeping track of your own water usage through an app on the phone or computer. In order to accomplish this upgrade, the water department needs access to the water meter inside your house. The water meter will not be changed and there will not be any so11 of water shut off. The wiring between the meter and reader needs to be updated to accommodate the new system. This process will take approximately 10 minutes to perform. We are asking for each homeowner to call and make an appointment
between 7am-2:30pm, Monday through Friday with the water department. All water department employees coming to do the work will be driving in a white pickup truck with Town insignia, and will have Town of Chester Water Department apparel on. If asked, they also can provide a Town of Chester ID. Please call 845-469-7000, ext. 322 between the hours of 8am-5pm Monday- Friday, as soon as possible, to make an appointment or if there are any questions. Further information with more details will be sent out once the new system is implemented.
