The Town of Chester, Orange County hereby provides notice that on the 27th day of September 2024, and after a public hearing was held on the 25th day of September, the Town Board of the Town of Chester adopted a resolution and order to form an ambulance district in the Town of Chester.

A description of the ambulance district is as follows:

The entire limits of the Town of Chester, Orange County, New York inclusive of the Village of Chester territory located in the Town of Chester.

The purpose of the ambulance district will be to permit the Town to establish municipal emergency medical services or alternatively contract with and/or arrange for an ambulance service to provide
emergency medical services to its residents through such ambulance service, and for such service to maintain sufficiently trained and skilled emergency medical technicians serving on its ambulances available to serve persons situated in the Town.

The maximum amount to be expended annually is $ 1,222,400.00 resulting in an average cost of $ 225.54 ($ 159,817 average assessed value). This resolution was adopted subject to permissive referendum pursuant to Town Law Article 7 and Town Law § 209-e.
