Introductory Local Law #9 of 2026 A Local Law To Regulate Parking Of Trailers And Boat Haulers On Town Streets
BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Chester as follows: Section 1. Legislative Intent The Town Board recognizes that parking of large commercial vehicles, trailers and boat transporters on Town streets adversely affects the community character, obstructs the safe passage of vehicles and pedestrians and should be regulated for the health, safety and welfare of Chester residents and those who traverse Town streets. Please take notice that the Town Board of the Town of Chester will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 6:45PM in the Town Hall Meeting Room, 1786 Kings Highway, Chester, NY. Said public hearing is to hear comments on the above captioned proposed local law. A copy of the proposed local law is on file in the Town Clerk’s Office and is available for inspection during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm). Any person interested in the proposed local law may appear in person or by agent. All written communications should be addressed to the Town Clerk at the above address.
